Behind the Quill: March Update
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, and I don’t know how long it will be until I post again. For now, we might be looking at monthly updates until things quiet down a bit. The new school year started at the beginning of March, and since then I haven’t had much energy, even when I’ve had time. So anything extra has mostly just… not been getting done. That said, it’s not like I haven’t been doing anything. Before March, I completed timelines for most of Jane Austen’s

Behind the Quill: TWB Update
The Watsons Beginnings For those of you who have been paying attention, you know that my prequel short story arcs have been expanded to five prequel short stories. Originally, I had eight ideas. I merged them down to three because I was going to gloss over a couple of things. Then I realized the things I was glossing over—such as the 1787 event of the Turners coming to take away Emma, and the 1789 event of the family moving to Stanton—did not actually deserve to be glossed ov

Behind the Quill: Series Update and Cover Reveal for TWB
I have finally received my print copy of Refined and Returned Volume I in Korea, and it has given me the motivation that I've been lacking to get back on track with my writing. My handsome Aegi posing with his copy of Refined and Returned Volume I . I have updated the series page on Amazon and wish to share it here to let you all know what is in store for the future. Since Arc Two has now been split into two arcs, there will be four in total. However, the newly minted Arc Th

TWB Prequel Arc Two Update!
Hey everybody, it’s been a while since I posted. However, here’s a little update. I have been working on the prequel Arc Two story, which was originally titled Relocations and Fortunes . As I was working on this, I realized that it kept getting longer, and the first part of the story—which ended up being about the removal of Emma from her family—ended up growing into its own little prequel arc story. So I’ve decided to separate it and make two arcs . Instead of the originall

Timing It: Mansfield Park
For those of you who haven't read my Behind the Quill series—especially Behind the Quill: Timelines and Behind the Quill: My Current and Future Projects —I'll add the links to those. I recommend reading them if you aren’t sure what’s happening here. Right now I'm creating a more exact timeline for Mansfield Park to be used in my collective Austenverse. Why I Needed a Calendar for Mansfield Park Mansfield Park is technically the first story to happen in my Austenverse time

Timing It: The Watsons
For those of you who haven't read my Behind the Quill series—especially Behind the Quill: Timelines and Behind the Quill: My Current and Future Projects —I’ll add the links to those. I recommend reading them if you aren’t sure what’s happening here. Since I haven’t written a blog post in a while, I decided to update my Jane Austen research projects with what I’ve most recently been working on: creating a more exact timeline for The Watsons to be used in my collective Aust

Behind the Quill: Final Updates
We’re finally in the last stretch before my first books officially launch. Technically, my prequel story has already been out as a free download, but it’s going live on Amazon this Saturday. That version’s all cleaned up and finalized — eBook uploaded, checked, and ready. As for Refined and Returned, Volume 1 — that one’s been a journey. I got it back from my editor, finished all the corrections, and uploaded the final eBook last week. The past two weeks have been all about

Behind the Quill: My Current and Future Projects
As you know from my last post—and if you didn’t see it, check it out—it wasn’t part of the “Behind the Scenes” series but in the main blog, and it talked about freebies! Everybody likes freebies, right? Austen Related Works The Watsons Beginnings The Watsons Beginnings is a series of short stories related to the Watson family of Jane Austen's fragment The Watsons and is meant to give more background to the family's fortune, connections, and personalities as written in my com

Behind the Quill: What to Consider and Look Out For if You're Planning on Self-Publishing
I thought the Behind the Quill series was over. However, there’s a whole new set of issues and little things that have come up. If you’re reading this because you’re interested in learning about my process—or just the process of putting out your own books—then hopefully this short edition series will be helpful to you. As you know, I’ve written Book One, but it’s a big process. People try to tell you that the writing is the hardest part. And maybe for some people, that’s tru

Arc One: Courtship and Marriage: Epilogue
Epilogue Robert and Cassandra married on the 25 th of December 1770, having waited until all of their family could come together to celebrate their nuptials. They had determined to be the happiest of couples and read to each other every day of their shared lives until their Lord in heaven should part them. Since she had never conceived during her previous marriage, they were both surprised and overjoyed when Cassandra felt the quickening within four months of their wedding
