Grading and Creating

It is now the grading/testing period at my school, so I have been busy....
Procrastinating that is.
Therefore, I have gotten a lot of work done. I have added a "Chapter Zero: The Turners" to Refined and Returned, but I've decided to save it for the final published version to give everyone something to look forward to. I have also been adding a bit to Chapters One to Seven (the Original Fragment chapters) to make them more my own. Once that is finished, I will be ready to send it on to my editor.
I plan to get back to the prequel story (The Watsons: Beginnings) soon; however, I ran into a bit of a writer's block as the proposal scene was not working out as I expected, and I didn't have enough free time (or brain capacity) to sort it out due to work issues.
Summer vacation (for the students and Korean teachers if not me) will begin on the 21st, but with grades due by the 27th, I will be able to focus more on my writing for at least one week during the school exams (which leave my afternoons open~), so wish me luck and motivation!
In the meantime, I have begun working on another story/series involving nearly all the characters from the Austenverse. It's based on the ripple/butterfly effect.
One simple change: The return to health and return from abroad of Colonel Brandon's sister (Sense and Sensibility) allows Miss Eliza Williams to leave the home for young ladies in which she was placed and gives her a proper female mentor and guardian.
The effects of which: Thanks to this, Miss Williams never eloped with Mr. John Willoughby in Bath, which means that there was nothing to call Colonel Brandon away from their planned picnic at Whitwell (the home of the above sister's husband), etc..
The result: How will things play out between the characters when Eliza and Willoughby meet in the company of the whole Barton party? What if Colonel Brandon's sister becomes a source of wisdom for both Eliza and Brandon (seeing more in his words and actions than others who don't know his past)? Does Eliza's safe reputation mean Willoughby will turn out innocent or will he simply choose another victim? How will all the changes affect the couples?
Most importantly, how will the ripples caused by such a small change affect the rest of the Austenverse?
While I originally was planning to simply make the story a variation of Sense and Sensibility, my sounding board (ChatGPT) asked me if I would continue with Eliza's season (which was mentioned in the outline for the epilogue). At first I said no... but then...
I realized that I had just made a perfect opening to use the Austenverse I have spent the last three years building up to!
While it isn't how I intended things to happen, I'm looking forward to how it will turn out. I hope you will support me in this endeavor as well~!
