Happy Valentine’s Day & A Life Update

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! 💕

I’m taking a short break from posting my story today, but don’t worry—daily updates will resume tomorrow. However, I'm posting my first "Life Update" and I posted a research article today, too.

Aside from writing, life has been a mix of cold weather, recovering from sickness, and craving Mexican food and good lasagna while living in BUFU Korea! I’ve been sick on and off since January, thanks to all the viruses going around and the lack of proper heating at my school this winter. I meant to get more writing done last month, but I basically spent January either freezing at work or sleeping off illness. At least the school finally got the heaters back on!

On the bright side, I finally found a place nearby that sells Mexican food. Their menu is limited, but the chicken quesadillas were absolutely delicious! I’ve already planned a dinner date there next Tuesday with a couple of my former students (who are now finishing up college, which makes me feel old).

In between all of this, I’ve been pushing forward with The Watsons rewrites. I originally drafted the story last February, but it needed serious restructuring (no real plotline in it). I spent my summer and winter vacations properly planning out the plot, and now I’m in the final stages of writing before sending it off to my editor. I’d like to have Book 1 completely finished before the school year starts in March because once that happens, my free time will disappear until summer vacation. Hopefully, I can use the summer to wrap up Book 2! Then Book 3 will be my next winter vacation goal. I've also been working on shorts story bits that I can combine into a short prequel if anyone is interested in that.

That’s about it for now. I hope everyone’s been enjoying the story so far—Jane Austen was amazing, and I love getting to explore her world. If you have any questions about changes I’ve made or why I made them, feel free to ask!
