I haven't posted for a long time, I know. However, the new semester began, and I have been working on other bits and pieces as the ADHD and my new class schedule lead. The schedule this semester has not been conducive to writing, so I've been working on my Austen family tree, outlining the next Volume of the Watsons, considering some changes I want to make to volume I and how to go about it, etc.
I could have made some posts to do with Austen research, but I lost my muse. Some of the teachers used to take "classes" with me where we discussed Austen's works and psychology, but they all either transferred (teachers in Korea transfer schools every 3-4 years) or rose up the corporate ladder and have too much administration work.... It's been lonely.
So, I will just leave you with some poems I wrote (as I teach poetry to my ESL students):
Enchanting you—mind, body, soul—
In the event you loose control.
Remember what you've learned—mature,
Even in darkness you must endure.
Ameliorate your heart with ease.
Never give up just to appease.
No one decides what fate you'll meet.
Emerge victorious: not obsolete.
Mighty storms upon the sea
Inviting in new company
Calling from a distant shore
Hitherto and Nevermore
Echoes calling from the gale
Listening to their every tale
Lullabies within the deep
Enchanting for your soul to keep
